When it comes to job-searching, the Internet is both a blessing and a curse.
On one hand, the digital space allows us to research and locate job possibilities quickly. The trade-off is that the broad scope of job leads available on the internet can be overwhelming if you don’t have a specific organization in mind.
There are a lot of job posting boards and occupation-related websites out there – and they’re a good place to research organizations and jobs if you know the general industry you’d like to be in.
But before you go combing through the thousands of postings available on Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster, and LinkedIn, recognize that each site has strengths and weaknesses…and that the most effective way of finding a new job online is by using them for different things! Here’s our take:
